The CommitteeAbout the Dance CouncilDance Council was founded in 1973 to promote and support dance in North Texas. It is a membership service organization of professional and pre-professional dance companies, teachers, performers, students, dance enthusiasts and businesses. Serving North Texas, the Council provides cultural and educational opportunities to people of all ages, races, and abilities through dance festivals, master classes, scholarships, and additional activities and collaborations.Adaptive Dance CommitteeThe Adaptive Dance Committee is a collaboration between The Dance Council and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, as well as other individuals that serves children with special needs in the greater Dallas/Forth Worth area by planning dance/creative movement programs and expanding dance class opportunities. In addition they offer consultation, teacher training seminars and workshops to help reach expansion goals.
